Winter in Ladakh with Wildlife and Culture

Early in the morning, visit the 15th century Thiksey Monastery where you will take part in a special morning prayer ceremony. As the sun rises, the trumpets, gongs, prayers and chants of the monks ring out. You will be guided through the complex and see the prayer rooms with many handwritten books as well as the shrine of the goddess Tara. Later drive back to Leh and continue with heritage walk. Overnight at Leh.

Today after breakfast drive towards Rumbak.  Depart from Leh early in the morning to reach Zingchen, the starting point of your trek. Trek from Zingchen to Rumbak Village .Begin your trek along the Rumbak River. The path is gradual and scenic, offering chances to spot blue sheep, Himalayan marmots, and various bird species. Wildlife Observation: As you trek, keep an eye out for wildlife with your binoculars and camera ready. Afternoon arrive at Rumbak Village .Check-in at Rumbak Lodge or a local homestay. Enjoy a traditional Ladakhi meal at the lodge or homestay. Explore Rumbak Village, Take a walk around the village to get familiar with the area. Visit nearby vantage points with your guide for the first chance at spotting snow leopards, golden eagles, and other wildlife. Return to your lodge for a warm dinner. Overnight stay at Rumbak Lodge or homestay.

Start your day early, heading out with your guide to prime locations for wildlife observation, especially for snow leopards and blue sheep. Breakfast at the Lodge. Enjoy a hearty breakfast .

Trek to Husing Valley:  This valley is renowned for its wildlife, particularly for snow leopard sightings. The terrain is rugged and offers an immersive experience in the park's natural beauty.

Wildlife Observation: Settle in a spot with a clear view and wait for wildlife to appear. Patience and silence are key. Enjoy your lunch outdoors, surrounded by the raw beauty of the Himalayan landscape.  Afternoon Trek to Yurutse village .Visit this remote hamlet, often called the "Snow Leopard Capital." The trek offers more chances to spot wildlife and explore the diverse terrain of Hemis National Park.

Evening Wildlife Spotting: Return to Rumbak and head out for another session of wildlife spotting, focusing on the movement of animals during dusk.

Photography: Take advantage of the golden hour to capture the stunning scenery and any wildlife activity. Evening return to your lodge or homestay for dinner. Overnight spend your second night at Rumbak Lodge or homestay.

Today is our Final Wildlife Spotting day . One last early morning attempt to spot wildlife, especially species you may have missed during the previous days like blue sheep, and Himalayan birds. Enjoy your last meal at Rumbak Lodge, soaking in the views and the tranquil environment. After breakfast, begin your trek back to Zingchen. Along the way, keep an eye out for any final wildlife sightings. Drive back to Leh. Upon reaching Zingchen, your vehicle will take you back to Leh. Overnight at Leh.

Today , we get up early morning .Later drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok. Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck .we stroll in and around lake and watch the mother nature soothes you .Later drive back to Leh. Overnight Hotel.

After an early breakfast, depart to airport for onward destination ….fly with sweet memories of Ladakh.
